The finding the natural ingredients for treatment of allergy is considered as a dream of many scientist to replace the long usage adverse effect of conventional medicine. Unfortunately, many compounds found effective in initial studying failed to confirm the potential in large sample size and multi center.

Allergy is the over reaction of immune system to harmless substances after entering our body affecting 1 in every 3 people and is defined as the type I reactions or Immediate Hypersensitivity as a result of over production of Immunoglobulin E (IgE), a class of allergic antibody by the immune system against harmless substances of that increasingly lead to mediated release of histamine and other mediators from mast cells and basophils, resulting in allergic reaction, including mucus secretion, sneezing, itching, etc.

Recent studies suggested that the combination of yogurt(1) and honey(4) may hold an important information as a therapeutic value in reduced risk and treatment of allergy.

Yogurt, made from milk products through bacterial fermentation is considered as one of most healthy foods in balancing the bacteria in the digestive system. Dr. Brown-Riggs C said," yogurt is often a more easily digestible alternative to milk, and thus more palatable to people who experience symptoms of lactose intolerance. This was a key factor cited in the final rule to include yogurt in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children"(1).
According to the joint study lead by the Food Science Research Laboratories, R&D Division, yogurt fermented with different strains of lactobacilli and their metabolite exhibited increasing immunostimulatory exopolysaccharide (EPS) effects by keeping immune functions stable(2) against allergy.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 44 JCPsis subjects, intake of yogurt or powder supplemented with the Bifidobacterium longum BB536 probiotic strain alleviated allergic symptoms during the pollen seasons of 2004 and 2005, through maintaining the normal function of microorganisms inhabiting the human body in health and disease(3).

The rich golden liquid is the miraculous product made by bees using nectar from flowers and considered as one of healthy sweet food for replacing the use of white sugar and artificial sweetener by many people with benefits of treating cough, fever, and inflammation in folk medicine.

In air inflammatory diseases, including asthma, aerosolised honey induced structural changes of the epithelium, mucosa, and submucosal regions of the airway that caused by the induction with ovalbumin(OVA)(4).
Manuka honey (MH) produced from the nectar of the mānuka tree at a concentration between 0.9 and 1.8 mg/mL may be safe to mucosa and efficacious treatment option for recalcitrant chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), according to the University of Adelaide(5).

Local honey, in fact hold a important cue for reduced risk of allergy in city and local population, due to its effects in attenuated allergic reaction, such as sneezing and runny noses, according to the article of Seasonal Allergies? A Spoonful of Honey, posted in New York time on April 11-2010, the author to the editor said,"there is a simpler way for allergy sufferers to find relief: local honey. This remedy (predating Claritin and its ilk) has long been recognized around the world"(6).

Taking all together, people with high risk of allergy due to family history, weaken immune system should drink at least a serving daily to prevent the develop of seasonal allergy.
Taking foods, such as garlic, ginger, turmeric, etc.... in enhancing immunity are recommended
